The cross is made of a glass called petrified wood. The unfired glass is a swirl of brown, amber and clear but firing in a kiln brings out shades of blue, yellow, tan, purple and gray in addition to brown and clear. Every cross is unique in its coloring and patterns. It is made from 1/2" chips of the petrified wood glass that are put in a cross shaped form. The layering of the chips gives the cross some depth. Comes with a leather hanger.
The cross looks great hanging in a window, outside under a patio cover and by your bedside.
